I just got the chance to read an advanced copy of the new novel The Break Down by B.A. Paris. I got an advanced readers' edition but it wont be on sale until July 18th 2017. I read the book while I was on vacation this week in Bass Lake, CA.

The Break Down was excellent! I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. It is a murder mystery and a psychological thriller. When Cass comes across a possible murder scene it may have put her in danger. Soon she starts to loose her mind, but at the same time she starts to wonder if whoever is behind the murder might also be after her. When she starts to think she might be getting early onset dementia it becomes an inner turmoil for her, but as the reader it makes you think there is foul play involved.

As a teacher, I could relate to Cass and her struggles because she is a teacher on summer vacation that recently lost her parent after a long illness. I also have a parent that suffers from Alzheimer's. It runs in my family and I could feel the pain and frustration of the struggles that Cass goes through in this thriller. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a suspenseful novel.
