The Fast Metabolism Diet Book

The Fast Metabolism Diet Book is a new book I read and tried out for the last month. I started reading the book when I recieved it from She Speaks. I was excited to read the book and learn about how to speed up my metabolism because I suffer from hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism has slowed down my metabolism for years. The book goes into this cause a little bit, but it is a good tool for anyone with a slow metabolism, not just for me because of my medical problem. Things I liked in this book: First I like that it talked about eating whole foods and skipping the processed junk. I also like that it gives you recipies to try and meal planning. I also know that it is true that your body will go into starvation mode if you don't eat often enough. Things I didn't use from this book, but could be helpful to others. I am a vegetarian and I couldn't follow the diet exactly when it shifted to the phase with mostly protien. I would have liked some more vegetarian options. I also did not need to loose 20 or more pounds. I was just looking to loose 5. But I can see how this book would deffinatley help people who lived an unhealthy lifestyle and needed a change. I also like that you shift from carido to weight training during the different parts of the diet, but I didn't have time to follow it exactly. I ended up not following the book to the letter, but instead I took information from it and worked it into my life. I learned a lot and I did loose 5 pounds!!! I would reccomed this book to anyone that needs to loose weight and keep it off. I think it is helpful and it can really work.
